Made famous by its critically acclaimed recordings on the Chandos label, the Center City Brass Quintet is comprised of five of the most talented American brass players of their generation. Its players hold positions with America's most esteemed orchestras and have performed as solists around the world. The Quintet is known for its standard-setting recordings and performances of the "classical" brass quintet repertoire, but is not afraid to have fun playing original arrangements of popular favorites by Bernstein, Ellington, Gershwin, Kurt Weill and others. The CCBQ convenes regularly each season to perform throughout the U.S. and abroad. In addition, the Quintet, whose members hold positions at major conservatories and universities, presents masterclasses for high school and college students around the country, through the sponsorship of the Conn-Selmer Company. We invite you to learn more about the CCBQ, its musicians and concert schedule, as well as enjoy sound samples of its recordings, all within the pages of this web site! |
